Can you guys help me come up with two equations for these situations? please?

I’m horrible at math and and I’ve tried to come up with the two equations but I’m not sure if I’m correct because the practice ones we did in class were much easier and different than this one(hate that) but yea can you help me out please!

You work at Best Buy and your manager asked you to create gift baskets for the holidays of DVDs and microwave popcorn. One gift basket consists of 2 DVDs and 1 package of popcorn which will be sold for . Another basket will have 5 DVDs and three packages of popcorn which will be sold for . – Can you guys explain how you came up with it please!

Let D=price of a DVD and P=price of popcorn

2D+P=20
5D+3P=51

Multiplying the first equation by -3 and add the 2 together gives -D=-9 or D = 9 which gives P=2

Present Help For My 90 Year Old Grandma?

Hello All,
In Advance: Sorry this is going to be really long!
Alright, so to start tonight we had a party for my grandma who turns 90 on Friday (the 19th). I love my grandma to death. She spends every holiday with us, she lives 10 minutes away so we are always together too. I am very close to my grandma and I want to treat 90 special because who knows how much time I have left with her. The party was tonight and we are doing a little get together on her actual birthday and I want to get her something nice. Here is a little background on my beloved grandma:
-She was born in Italy in 1919 and came to this country in 1947.
-She loves to crochet (but she insists that she can get her yarn for free through a friend so there goes that)
-She loves traditional Italian things (but my cousin gave her an italian specialty food gift basket. grr)
-She loves puzzles
-She likes to cook but not too much since she is 90 now lol
-She is from Isola di Istria
-She loves going to the pool (but again gosh darn it by cousin and his wife gave her something for that too)
-She loves going to atlantic city (and yes, someone gave her money to go there too)
-She takes great pride in her heritage.
Ok, so thats my grandma in a nutshell lol. Also we were going to get her a personalized photo album for photos from the party but guess what, someone already gave her that too!
So yes, now I am stuck back at square one. My grandma has always been the hardest person to shop for. Christmas I’m always stuck. But I don’t want 90 to be small you know, I want to give her something special. I just don’t know what! My mom says we only planned up to 85 and now we are out of ideas!
If any of you have an idea as to what I can get my grandma that would be really helpful. I’ve tried to think but I can’t! I have to get the gift before Friday so quick responses are wonderful.

*Also Im 17 and my brother is 15 going on 16 so we don’t have too much money. The most expensive thing we were really looking at was like 60-70 dollars and we plan on splitting it.
Oh boy more notes lol. A lot of people say to make a scrapbook and use pictures. A weekend before the party I told my grandma I had a scrapbook project for italian but obviously that was a little lie. I made a large collage of all these pictures of her through life so that rules that out too. sorry im being so picky lol

-We had a surprise party tonight. We had like 55 people and Italian food galore lol.
-I just feel that 90 is more than shortbread. My grandma is the greatest person I have ever met and I dont want to give her shortbread, I think 90 is more than that. But thank you for your input!
Maggie: What a wonderful idea! When I said my grandma loves puzzles she loves like word searches and sudko but she loves puzzles in general so that would be good as well! What a wonderful idea! I never would have even thought of that! Thank you so much! I will definitely keep it in mind.
cecstar: I have been on those sites but my grandma does not have a computer. Yo first mentioned a physical book, where can I get those?
-I know the puzzle was a fantastic idea but its just that my grandma would not do it. She really occupies her time crochetting for others. She would just i dont even know lol

Can you help w/suggestions for inexpensive, but thoughtful anniversary gift?

Hi, trying to get ideas for some inexpensive gifts I could put together for my sister and brother-in-laws 2nd anniversary. I’m on an extreme tight budget, but want to put a basket together for them. I’ve already thought of home-made chocolate covered pretzels and a bottle of wine. They have a new born baby and I also thought of a night of babysitting coupon. I know there are a lot of creative minds out there… maybe you could suggest something different and cool? Thanks a bunch!!

Perhaps you could give them a picnic basket with a nice meal that you have cooked that they can re-heat, a bottle of wine, some candles and a box of chocolates and take their baby off them for the night so they can enjoy a romantic dinner?

im trying to decide what to give my bridesmaids as a gift and other people help!?

so my maid of honor is really into singing and she likes kareoking (sry i don’t think i spelled that right)
she also loves researching everything.
one of my bridesmaids is into really unsual stuff. she’s always been “unique” she used to always dye her hair crazy colors in high school ect… (she’s also a vegetarian)
one of my other bridesmaids is a mom and into a lot of different stuff.
and my other bridesmaid is miss “good girl” and she’s a major over-achiever. she’s going to school for musical theater. she’s also my fieance’s sister. (and she also is a vegetarian)

also one of my best guy friends is doing a lot for us for the wedding. he’s helping pay for and cook a lot of the food and he will most likely be “d.j.” for us. he’s into all kinds of stuff (he’s also a vegetarian)

also my fieance’s grandma is helping us out a lot also. she is making my wedding dress so i get a free custom wedding dress and she’s doing other things to help us too. she is an “old school” grandma she’s aswome. she cooks, sews, makes quilts etc…

also one of my uncles is flying in from japan to preform the ceremony and marry us. he does ministry work in japan and marries people over there. we will be the first couple he marries in the u.s.a. (he is from america)

also i want to get something nice for my parents (who are divorced so it has to be a seprate gift)
and something nice for my fieance’s parents (who are still together).

then there are people who have helped us out with giving us wedding money. i want to get them something nice.

also i need ideas for what to get our best man (he’s in the army) and the groomsmen.

i have some ideas as to what to get people, but am not sure on some people. also i don’t know how much we should spend we are on a very tight budget.

please give me some ideas that are not over done. thanks!!!

i’m thinking of doing personailzed gift baskets filled with items that each person will like i just have too many ideas and not enough money! we still have stuff to buy for the wedding so i don’t wanna over do the wedding gifts but i don’t wanna compleatly cheap out on them.
NOTE: WE ARE ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET and the wedding is in march.

the bridesmaids at my cousins wedding bought their own dresses but my cousin bought them pearl earrings & necklaces to go with it.
